Lucy C. Sorensen is an Associate Professor of Public Administration and Policy at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at University at Albany, SUNY. She received her PhD in Public Policy and MA in Economics from Duke University. Her research uses applied econometrics with administrative data to investigate questions related to K-12 education policy, human development, and social inequality. She is particularly interested in the ways in which public school systems interact with other institutions, such as the criminal justice and healthcare systems, to shape individual life course trajectories.
