Lauren P. Bailes is an associate professor in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. She also serves as the program coordinator for the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program. Her scholarship focuses on the ways in which organizational, social-cognitive, and leadership theory unite to promote the success of school leaders and K12 students. Her recent work focuses in particular on the career pathways of diverse educators, student absenteeism, and school discipline practices. Lauren’s work has been funded by the Spencer Foundation, the Delaware Department of Education, and the Klingenstein Center (Columbia University), among others.
