Dr. Hannah Gbenro is a seasoned educator, leader, and innovator with a passion for driving positive change in education. With a background in K-12 education leadership and higher education, Dr. Gbenro has held various roles including district instructional coach, assistant principal, classroom teacher, district Director of Academic Alignment & Innovation, and Chief Academic Officer (CAO) in school districts ranging from 10k-30k students over the past 20-years. Currently serving as the CEO & President of 21st Century Possibilities, Dr. Gbenro partners with school & district leaders around leading the implementation of innovations, future ready strategic planning, leadership development, and the creation of anti-racist systems for teaching & learning.

Throughout her career, Dr. Gbenro has been recognized for her contributions to education with awards from prestigious organizations including the American Educational Research Association (AERA), Washington Educational Research Association (WERA) and ASCD. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with dual cognates in The Principalship & Business (Seattle U.), a Master’s in Teacher Leadership (U. of Illinois), and a Bachelor’s in Political Science & Music (Pacific Lutheran University). Dr. Gbenro earned her Pk-12 Superintendent, Principal, and Teaching credentials in Washington State. Her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident in her leadership approach and advocacy for creating inclusive learning environments as well as her daily partnerships with schools & districts. Dr. Gbenro’s dedication to a whole child approach, coupled with her innovative mindset and collaborative leadership style, positions her as a transformational leader in the field of Pk-12 education.
