Elizabeth Huffaker (huffaker@stanford.edu) is a postdoctoral research fellow for the SCALE Initiative at Stanford University, where she also earned her Ph.D. in Education Policy and the Economics of Education. She uses quantitative methods to study primarily causal questions of K-12 policy. Her current research focuses on the influences of secondary math practices on students’ academic opportunities, school engagement, and achievement. She frequently engages in collaborative work with school and district partners. Her research has been published in outlets including the American Education Research Journal and Educational Researcher. In fall 2025, she will join the University of Florida College of Education as an Assistant Professor of Leadership and Policy. Prior to her research career, Elizabeth was a high school math teacher in Houston, Texas.
