Claire Mackevicius (mackevicius7@gmail.com) considers (mis)matches between promises and realities of education and policy using mixed methods to study resource allocation at K-12 public schools. Dr. Mackevicius ‘follows the money’ in projects that construct a spiral of documenting realities in resource distribution, understanding decision-making processes underlying that distribution, and charting pathways toward new, more equitable realities. Dr. Mackevicius is proud to be a co-founder and co-organizer of Quant for What?, a collective aimed at dreaming and building possibilities toward antiracist transformation, bringing power awareness and a humanizing approach to critical quantitative education.
