Dr. Billie Gastic Rosado is Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs of LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York (CUNY). Previously, Dr. Gastic Rosado was an Associate Dean at New York University, Chief Research Officer at Relay Graduate School of Education, served on the New York State Professional Standards and Practices Board for Teaching, and on faculty at UMass Boston and Temple. Dr. Gastic Rosado earned a Ph.D. in the Sociology of Education and an M.A. in Sociology from Stanford, an Ed.M. from Harvard, and a B.A. in Economics from Yale. Her scholarship addresses the impacts of school safety and violence on students’ academic success.
