Dr. Shanita Glaspie is a secondary education teacher and adjunct professor at Brightpoint Community College, teaching Teach for Tomorrow courses. With over 15 years of experience in K-12 public education, Dr. Glaspie passionately advocates for experiential learning to shape the future of students and communities. Dr. Glaspie holds a diverse array of industry certifications in educational technology and economic education. She is certified to teach CTE courses in Texas and Virginia. Dr. Glaspie’s academic credentials include a Doctoral Degree from Samford University (2024), an Education Specialist Degree from the University of South Dakota (2021) in Education Administration, a Post Graduate Certificate in Curriculum and Instruction from Walden University (2011), a Master of Education from Cambridge College (2010), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Virginia State University (2005). Committed to empowering parents and educators, Dr. Glaspie labors to equip them with the tools and knowledge to support every child’s educational journey. In particular, she focuses on three main areas: (1) closing the reading achievement gap, (2) high-quality work-based learning, and (3) the educational needs of students in rural communities.
