Blake H. Heller, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston’s Hobby School of Public Affairs. His research focuses on education policy topics related to alternative academic pathways in U.S. public education, including high school equivalency credentialing, adult education, immigrant language skills, and career and technical education. Heller has partnered with several state education agencies, school districts, and education-focused organizations, and is the co-PI of the CTEx 3.0 and the MA ESOL Impact projects. His work is published in peer-reviewed journals, including the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, and Education Finance and Policy. Heller began his career in education teaching middle school math and science in Gary, Indiana.
