Abby is an Innovation & Design Coordinator at DC Public Schools (DCPS), where she supports the DC+XQ high school redesign initiative. She brings experience in both education policy and psychology to this role, having previously worked as a Policy Analyst for K-12 education at the Center for American Progress and as a Research Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania. In both of these previous roles, her research focused on whole-child education, and school redesign with an emphasis on student voice, community-driven change, and applying a racial equity lens to schools and systems. She joined the DCPS Redesign Team to apply this research to practice and help innovate high schools from the bottom up. Abby received a B.A. in Psychology, Education Studies, and Religious Studies from Hamilton College and an M.S.Ed in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
